BLUE-GREY MARLS CLAYS AND FLYSCH at 900m in southern Italy

Blue-grey marls clays and flysh are present in Basilicata region (Southern Italy), specifically in the Val d'Agri area and in the surrounding valleys at an average height of 900 m. The slopes based on these litotypes are very difficult to tackle in order to stop erosion and to improve their appearance making them green and flowered, also due to the extreme climates conditions:  cold winters with lots of snow, and hot summers. The area  experienced several landslides and mudslides, both superficial and deep
